Stay in the wye valley Hunters Lodge Retreat accomodation

Stay in the Wye Valley - Self Catering Accommodation in the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean

This spacious country apartment within a big Victorian house has stunning panoramic views of the Wye Valley. House Martins is named in honour of the regular visitors who nest under its eaves. This is a great base for any individual or couple who would like to explore the lovely surrounding country-side. It has close proximity to a Brockweir village and an award winning community shop/café. There is plenty to do and see for the active or you can just relax and wander taking in peace and quiet of the area

Entry is via its own front door, then up a flight of stairs to a spacious and light-filled living/sleeping room is; its bow windows make the most of the views with an extra window overlooking the garden. This room combines sleeping, with a super-king-size bed, and relaxing, with a sofa, a couple of easy chairs, a wood burner and a TV. The kitchen/dining room and large bathroom complete the trio of rooms.

Outside, tucked away in the owner’s extensive garden, is a private sitting-area for guests – a pleasant place to sit out in the summer months.

The Retreat is located on the edge of the Forest of Dean, a riverside walk away from Tintern and it's famous Abbey. There are several options for eating. A "real pub" in Brockweir, the Village Shop/Café for your supplies and coffee and snacks (staffed by community volunteers) and another café in Tintern, all within walking distance.

An ideal place for painting, walking, or just relaxing with a book.
